my dude OneFiftyOne just mentioned to me that he saw Saukrates open for Drake down in the states and it made me think of my favourite song from them way back in the 90′s.

Ink Blot made it to 500 download’s today, and it’s STILL goin pretty strong. Having almost no promotion, I’m pretty happy with that. Thanks to those who grabbed it, those that spread the word, and those that had input on any tracks, either with verses or beats.
You read that title correctly. I don’t have much to say. I don’t have details. I don’t have answers. All I have is the last two songs he ever recorded. I’m also sitting on a collab me and him did that needs mixing, but I don’t know if I’ll put that out now. We’ll see.
Anyway, here’s the tracks. Click to play. Right Click and Save As to download:
Feel free to drop your comment’s and “r.i.p”‘s

Ja Vid mentioned in the first review I posted that he was going to review the record track by track. So, here it is.
Aight……….. Here we go!!!!
First of all.. I am offically changing the Title of this mixtape from “Ink Blot” to “Not Your Favorite Rapper” Yes.. Cuz.. well I’ll explain in a minute… Aight my man.. Check it!.. I’ve listened to Fallen Music for a while now.. Since back in the day.. And in all honesty.. I wasn’t waitin’ for an absolutely tremendous mixtape here.. I thought if I could get at couple dope tracks out of this.. I’d be happy..
But!
To my suprise.. You did FUCKING GOOOOOOD!!!!!
First of all.. Mixing is well done through out the tape.. All volumes are at pretty much the same level.. Probably the toughest thing to do IMO.. The small things matter, like the little effects you added to your vocals through out the mixtape.. Very important to give it that professional feel and I thought you pulled that off real nicely.. The effect your put on your first song.. Your vocals, you told me it was that guitar thing.. Can I get that from somewhere? I love that effect lol..
Secondly.. The beat choices overall was dope in my opinion.. I believe “Goodbye To Hollywood” is the only beat I wasn’t feeling due to it’s heavy bass.. My car speakers are already pretty bassy, so it was difficult listenin’ to that track, especially when you like your Hip Hop loud! But other than that, I really liked almost ALL the beats you chose.. I’ll explain more in the break down.. But yeah man.. good job on that too.. I believe it’s the production of beats which what “sells” a product on the radio.. Well that and the hook.. But still, the instrumental plays a big part in how many plays a track gets in real life!..
3. Your features were good.. I thought they ALL held it down and definitely came wit’ some hot verses.. And more importantly, they all had equal quality! I thought you maybe could have had a few more features on it though.. I mean it’s not an absolute necessity.. But still could have added more to the mixtape overall..
4. 16 Tracks is perfect!.. Well the last one being Vinnie Paz tarin’ the shit out of “your” beat is just a bonus.. But havin’ 15 full tracks is great.. Shows you take your shit seriously and you’re not just gonna give 8 tracks and close it nah’mean?
5. Delivery!
Ok.. To me.. This is the most important thing I’d like to talk to you about..
This is “Weird As Fuck” to me.. Cuz you’ve kinda always had a bit of a rushed style.. Like you’d usually spit a bit too fast to the beat.. Ever since I could remember.. You had ups and downs in your ish.. You still do have that.. not as much as it used to be.. I mean I do see maaaaad improvement in you music wit’ this mixtape, but I still hear some tracks where your delivery isn’t as solid as another track of yours.. Which to me is weird.. I used to think it’s cuz of the beat you use.. Like your style suits some beats PERFECTLY, but doesn’t work well with other beats.. I don’t exactly know why that is.. Cuz it’s not like you using the “same exact style” on every beat.. Like there is this 1 track on the mixtape..“Actually Listen”.. where on that first verse your flow/delivery is PERFECT!
Absolutely perfect, no flaws, no slip ups, no rushed points..So then I say to myself.. How can he flow/deliver so perfectly on this beat, but didn’t do the same on the previous beat? Is it rushed cuz his NOT a perfectionist (like myself) and just carried on wit’ some beats even though he could have gone back and re-done them? Or is it cuz of the switch of styles? Or is it simply cuz the drum pattern for some beats don’t suit Fallen as much as some drum patterns? The answer? I really don’t know %100 percent.. But I do feel it’s a mixture of all those things.. Anyway.. I just wanted to let you know about that.. Not cuz I’m hating, not cuz I’m comparing you to MY Favorite Rapper, just think you’d wanna know “exactly” how I feel..
Now let’s get to the good shit!.. Continue reading
This girl Essence got at me a little while ago, complimenting me on my music (thanks again for that). We talked a bit and she mentioned she made music, but was more into spoken word at the moment. So I checked her out. Found this video. I meant to post it before but it slipped my mind. So, women have a listen. Men too. Alot of you need to hear what this girls got to say.
Big up’s to MC Essence. Keep doin your thing. Men and women alike, take note.
If you don’t know Ja Vid, then you’re missin out. He’s a very reputable underground emcee from Australia. Him and his partner in crime, Chin Check, have been ripping up the scene for quite a few years now. You should definitely check both those artists out.
Anyway, Ja had a listen to my latest release and had this to say:
Lets get straight to the point..
I feel this mixtape should have been called “Not Your Favorite Rapper”. I feel you need to skip directly to track 13 first and really listen to what his saying in this track before you judge or criticize this mixtape. In the track “Actually Listen” he talks about how people judge him and criticize his music without really listening, and comparing him to their favorite rapper. This probably being one of my fav’ tracks on the mixtape come straight from the heart and well worth the listen.
But he starts the mixtape off with the track “In For The Kill”.. You must listen to this song. With his unique guitar’ish/distorted effect on his vocals, he absolutely tares this beat apart. Double time anyone? Cuz his double time in this is impeccable and very impressive.
Then moves on to a couple collabs, one being “Goodbye to Hollywood” which features SevenBC and 151, who both do a tremendous job rippin’ the beat up, to Notebook taring his verse in “Body Armour”. Between these tracks he has a great story telling track called “A Boy And Girl”.
This track is a well written, clever and creative story about a boy and girl (obviously). I won’t ruin it, but it’s definitely worth the listen. Continue reading
Got this e-mail from my uncle. Figured I’d share it…
1) My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels.
She asked, ‘What’s on TV?’
I said, ‘Dust.’
And then the fight started…

2) My wife and I were watching “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” while we were in bed. I turned to her and said,
“Do you want to have sex?”
“No,” she answered.
I then said, “Is that your final answer?”
She didn’t even look at me this time, simply saying, “Yes.”
So I said, “Then I’d like to phone a friend.”
And then the fight started…. Continue reading
